Pet Policy

If you're bringing a pet, read this. If not, you can skip this page.

We are a pet-friendly place to stay and wanted to remind you about a few important things. This is an automated message, but since so many people bring pets we wanted to make certain we send it to everyone. See house rules on Airbnb for all details on fines for non-compliance to the following.

If you are bringing your furry friend:

1) Pet Fee: There is a one-time pet fee (unless the pet is a legal service animal which is free). If it is a legal service animal please email us with the paperwork attached (mark@beecreekranch.com). NOTE: We allow guests to have up to two pets. The pet fee covers 2 pets per stay. If you you have more than 2 pets please reach out to us to verify #1 that they are allowed and if so, what the extra pet fee is.

Why a fee? While pets can be nice and clean, and well-behaved, they have very fine 'down' fur that gets everywhere. Vacuums just don't pick it up. Therefore the cleaning staff must clean every inch of the cottage with a sticky lint brush. Rolls of lint brushes are used each time. We work hard to make the Cottage clean for all guests. It's very time intensive adding hours to the cleaning job, doubling the time.

If you didn't pay the pet fee through the booking site (we know it's not always clear during check-out), please do so now here on Stripe: https://buy.stripe.com/4gw6s6ag0dJcaxaeUU We live on the property and we will see your pet. We're not nosey, but we often see pets that have not been registered. So let's get this solved before you check-in.

NOTICE: As per the house rules, there is a $300 fine for bringing pets on the property without paying the pet fee, also added to this is the appropriate pet fee. Please do not sneak pets onto the property.

2) Keep on Leash: We are in nature, and it's a fun and wild place for pets to explore. But there are also wild animals who pass through the property. Many are kind like deer, roadrunners, foxes, raccoons and rabbits. Some are less fun like skunks, coyotes, bobcats, and yes, snakes. We've even heard rumors about a cougar in the area (don't worry it stays clear of humans. I've never seen it.). The important thing is to keep your friend on a leash and under control so they don't run off or get hurt. There is a fine if we see your pet off the leash.

3) Multiple Pets: If you have multiple pets, just be aware of how they interact and the wear and tear they will cause together. Again as per above, we allow (2) two pets with a pet fee. Sometimes we might allow more pets with an additional pet fee but this must be agreed on before arrival.

4) Aggressive Animals: If you know your pet is aggressive towards strangers, please find a way to leave your pet at home. We have other guests on the property and aggressive animals can cause problems that you, us, and other visitors simply don't want to deal with, and if there is an incident, legal and police get involved. A mess no one wants.

5) Clean up #2: Yup, everyone wants to enjoy the grassy areas. Please, clean-up after your pet's poo-poo, that way no one steps in it and all guests can enjoy the property. $100 fee for each pile I find after you leave. If you need bags, let us know.

6) Furniture & Property Damage: We understand pets get on couches and beds, so be thoughtful with the furniture or other property items. We spent a lot of $$ on it so it's beautiful for you, our human guests. Just be sure your fury friends have clean footsies and what-nots and they are light on the wear and tear of the property. That way the future is awesome for all of our guests. If you do have a mishap or something gets broken, let us know ASAP so we can see if we can clean it or fix it before it's too late. We often have back-to-back bookings and damage needs to be fixed in the short turn-over. The worst case is we have to submit an insurance claim or charge you for replacement or professional cleaning, which we rather not do. Prevention is the best remedy. See more details in house rules about not letting us know about a problem before you leave.

With all that said, we're very happy for you to bring your pets. Just keep in mind the above and use wisdom accordingly.

Please, let me know if you have any problems
